Greg Kells is an international entrepreneur with extensive business development, marketing, and management experience. Mr. Kells has served as President or Chairman of corporations in various industries including advanced technology, manufacturing, consulting, training, tourism, real estate development, business appraisal, television production and laboratories.
In 2002, Greg founded and continues to be President of Sunbelt Business Brokers Inc. (Canada). Sunbelt Business Brokers’ focus is in brokering the sale of businesses valued under $3 million. His commitment to Sunbelt's development has made Sunbelt Business Brokers the leading business brokerage in Canada. In addition to opening over thirty offices in Canada he is developing business brokerages in ten other countries.
Recognizing an underserved market for advisors in mid-market mergers and acquisitions, Greg founded Sunbelt Mergers & Acquisitions Inc. in 2008. Sunbelt M&A focus is on the sale of business valued between $3 and $30 million.
A highly involved leader, Greg’s skills and experience are significant assets to clients. He has been a guest lecturer at Harvard, Yale, and Duke Universities as well as at numerous Canadian colleges. He enjoys mentoring, teaching and is a regular instructor for the International Business Brokers Association.
Greg is the supportive husband to contemporary artist Gayle Kells and is the proud father of three children. He is involved in his community on various levels including as the Chairman of the Canadian Institute of Nature and the founding Chairman of the Canadian Institute for Conflict Resolution. He has been a candidate for the political leadership of Ontario and is active in numerous community organizations.
In addition to being a Certified Business Intermediary; Greg holds the designations of Life Member of the Institute of Business Appraisers, Certified Machinery and Equipment Appraiser, Certified Senior Business Analyst, and Registered Real Estate and Business B roker.
